Where will we sleep?
Tents and RVs are welcome anywhere on the grounds. A large lodge facility is also available for sleeping bags, air mattresses, etc.
What will we eat?
Eat dinner before you come Friday night. You are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to share. Nothing better than some S’mores or Pudgy Pies! (if you don’t know what these are, you seriously need this retreat!)
Meals will be provided on Saturday for breakfast and lunch.
What will we do?
The goal of our retreat is to get away from our everyday lives (including our kids!) and spend some time together in fellowship and studying God’s word. We will have a guest speaker to lead a few devotionals and lessons, praise and worship time, and, of course, activities! You are encouraged to bring outdoor games, board games, cards, basketball shoes and clothes, musical instruments, sheet music, or anything else you can share to make this a memorable time with our class.
The Speaker
Our speaker will be Larry Johnson. Larry is the director of Camp Shamineau in northern Minnesota and a former pastor.
What should we bring?
In addition to the things mentioned earlier each person will want to bring their Bible, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.
What will this fun-filled weekend cost?
The exact cost will be determined by how many people we have in attendance. Your cost will include the rental of the lodge and grounds, meals on Saturday, and the speaker. Our goal is to have enough people to keep the cost well below $50 per person. So if you want to save money, invite more people!
