As I’ve been reading and studying Revelation 7 over the past week, the sheer number of important issues it brings up has astounded me. I must admit, that leaves me in something of a pickle with regards to how to teach it. I can’t very well make 8 different main points…or maybe I can. I guess you’ll have to stay tuned and come on Sunday to find out!
As you read Revelation 7, ponder these things:
- What are the major themes/take-aways that are clear to you?
- What’s the deal with all the seals & sealings going on in these chapters?
- Why do we switch from talking about tribes of Israel (Jews) to multitudes of nations?
- How is God calling you to be passionate about the nations knowing Him?
- And last, but certainly not least, if salvation belongs to God and to the Lamb, how can it be said that those in heaven wash their garments? Wouldn’t a more accurate picture be of God and the Lamb washing their garments for them?
Lord willing, see you Sunday! Coram Deo!!
