This week will be our second (and last) studying the office of deacon in the Church. Most specifically, we’ll be discussing how a biblically-defined deaconal ministry promotes unity in the Church. I’d encourage everyone to look back at my notes from the lesson about how biblical elders promote unity in the Church. It would serve us all well to refresh ourselves on what unity is and why it’s important. Also, take a look at I Timothy 3:8-13 and review the role of a biblical deacon from two weeks ago. In what ways does KSBC’s current deacon structure promote unity at KSBC? In what ways does it/could it promote disunity? How would a biblically-defined deacon better promote unity at KSBC?
