Time to talk about us!

We’ve talked about elders.  We’ve talked about deacons.  Now, without any further ado, the time has come to talk about us – the congregation.

This week, I want to work through a few questions with you concerning our collective identity as a congregation: who are we?  What is our goal?  What are we supposed to do?  To answer these questions, we will hunker down and work our way through the Scripture passages that our church structure team referenced in their Statement of Understanding (SOU) on the congregation.

After we walk through the Statement of Understanding, we’ll take a look at an interesting question: is church government supposed to be a democracy?

Our goal for this week is to walk away with a clearer understanding of how each of us in the pews fits into this whole church structure thing.  If the Lord allows us to meet together, I trust this will be a profitable time for you.  For prep work: bring your Bible and be ready to talk!
